Street medicine and mobile clinics for persons experiencing homelessness.
Homelessness is a serious public health issue, leading to an estimated 5,800 to 46,500 deaths each year. In our review, Mobile Health Map researchers explore how mobile clinics and street medicine—where care is brought directly to people experiencing homelessness (PEH)—can help address this crisis. These approaches offer trusted, affordable, and accessible care, showing promise in improving health and lowering costs. Our findings highlight the powerful impact mobile clinics and street medicine can have in transforming care for this underserved group.
